True Qibla: Privacy Policy

True Qibla is a Qibla compass and prayer times app for iPhone and Android, made by Ever After Group. This page explains what the app does and does not do with data. The short version: your location and settings never leave your phone.

Location

The direction of the Qibla and every prayer time depend on exactly where you are, so the app asks for location permission and reads your position from the phone's GPS when you tap "Use my location". That position is kept in the app's local storage on your device only, is used solely for calculations, and is never sent to us or anyone else. You can instead type a position by hand and never grant location permission. There are no accounts, sign-in, or analytics.

Sensors

True Qibla reads your device's rotation and magnetic sensors to show a compass heading. It also reports the sensor's calibration grade so you know how far to trust it. Those readings are processed on the device and go nowhere else. The "Verify with the sun" screen uses only the clock and your position.

Notifications

If you switch reminders on, the app asks for notification permission and, on newer Android versions, permission to schedule exact alarms. Reminders are scheduled on the device itself. Nothing is sent from a server, and every reminder can be silenced or switched off per prayer.

Network and tracking

True Qibla contains no advertising SDK, analytics, account system, or tracking. The app makes no network requests, and the Android build does not request internet permission.

Children

True Qibla is a general-audience tool. It is not directed at children and contains no content unsuitable for anyone.

Your rights

Because True Qibla keeps no personal data about you on our systems, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, or delete on our side. Your data is on your device and under your control.
